三角形の角の二等分線の長さ(2)

\angle{BAD}=\angle{CAD} ならば AD=\sqrt{AB\times AC-BD\times CD}

三平方の定理を用いた証明を書いたところ、別の場所*1で「もっと簡単な証明があるよ」と教えてもらった。
それは外接円を用いる方法だろうと予想したが、その通りだった。

鮮やかなので、ここでも書いておく。

\triangle ABD\sim\triangle CED なので
AD:CD=BD:ED
AD\times ED=BD\times CD (方べきの定理ですね)
また
\triangle ABD\sim\triangle AED なので
AB:AD=AE:AC
AB\times AC=AD\times AE
AB\times AC=AD\times(AD+DE)
AB\times AC=AD^2+AD\times DE
AB\times AC=AD^2+BD\times CD
AD^2=AB\times AC-BD\times CD
AD=\sqrt{AB\times AC-BD\times CD}
